So OP basically saying that he is a zig lover and his codeberg account was blocked because he used LLM to translate his PR without knowing that zig has a hard no LLM policy. He also stated that he didn’t use any LLM to assist with his PR except the translation and wish his account could be unblocked.
Zig gets a lot of attention from bots and LLM slop pushers, more than they can reasonably handle, so forgive them for not taking the time to inform you that LLM translation was also against the rules.
This community, like all others, is not official. Though it probably has the most zsf team members/contractors.
Which is to say, there is no guarantee any of them would see your post, let alone someone who is able to unban you. And may not be appropraite, but that is the judge of the moderators here.
You can contact the zig team on zulip the platform they use to organise zig development. Since it was only used for translation I think it is reasonably likely that if they see it, they will unban your account.
If you read the Zig policy statements, they tell you to make your posts in your native language if you don’t have English.
The maintainers are perfectly proficient in using a translator if necessary, whether automated or human, to read your post. Posting LLM-translated content is making a presumption that the reader does not speak your language, which they may very well do.
In my interpretation, not even. Keep it in native on creation, when a human translator has given a rundown, a team member can just change it to be more clear in english
I’m going to close this discussion, the original point has been answered. AI is allowed for strict translation, on the forum, and English is the expected language, as it makes moderation simpler.
