Requires climbing 2 flight of stairs. (Reply or message me if need to change to ADA room)

LA is too far for me to get to, but sounds like fun!

Cased the joint today. It is a beautiful historical building, though it does have that old historical building smell. Parking is onsite. You have to climb two flights of stairs to reach the room. There is no elevator (because historical building). If anyone needs ADA access we can change to a community room on the main level (holler at me!). Feels like I need a tobacco pipe.

The surrounding area has a surprising mediterranean feel. There is local deli with a bar and small groceries and a marble statue? Odd for LA but this is the richest part of it :slight_smile:

  • Meeting room with original furniture.
  • Fountain out front provided much needed cool breeze. I love the smell of fountains.
  • Marble statue near deli.
  • Deli (zoom for menu), lots of people inside, cyclists outside with fancy gear. Very european.

I am way too far to attend (the Netherlands), but I commend you for the effort and enthusiasm, and wish you the best for the event.

I have a defer report (was trying to come up with something punny there…) as a PR on the zig.day repo, working through some technical difficulties

It went very well! I was afraid that no-one would show up but we had 1 person come because of Ziggit (Charlie) and one person due to @kristoff 's shoutout on Zig SHOWTIME (Logan). I brought donuts and orange juice / water. No technical difficulties at the event. Overall huge success I think!

I got a group photo outside but I should have gotten one inside the venue! My mistake

It would be great to see one of these in New York (or Philly, but I won’t get my hopes up too much).
