Someone on the D forums suggested Walter (creator of Dlang) try writing a project in Zig here: (TypeScript is being ported to Go | interview with Anders Hejlsberg - D Programming Language Discussion Forum)Zig. I myself wrote D for almost a decade and can say I learned alot when I started writing Zig.
I bet both Andrew and Walter would learn something from trying out each other’s languages, they take very different approaches to systems programming. +1 from me to see a collobaration between the two
