Unhide pre-formatted text button

I am not quite sure since when (I would guess discourse update), but the pre-formatted text button from the discourse text editor is now hidden within the cogwheel/settings menu, is there a site-setting to change which buttons appear within the toolbar of the editor directly?

With the button in the toolbar I could press ctrl+e to surround a selection with backticks, which doesn’t work anymore, having to click two times instead is quite annoying.

Hmm with a different browser the toolbar button shows up and I am trying a bunch of different browsers currently anyway…

Sorry I’m still at work and haven’t had the chance to switch logins to look at options. Per your point about browsers I do see the button on Firefox (unless I’m misunderstanding).

It does show up for me in zen browser (firefox based), I am not entirely sure why it didn’t show up in librewolf (firefox based).

I am using librewolf and it is in the toolbar for me

I just type the markdown. Don’t need me no buttons.

On Brave Browser, I see the preformatted text button. I checked the uber admin account, but cannot see anything that would configure this.

Thank you for looking, I have no idea why it didn’t show up, when it does for @vulpesx, I think we can drop this unless somebody else can reproduce it.

I also searched about this topic a bit and couldn’t find anything, I think finding out might require digging into the code and I don’t really care enough to do that, when it works with the browser I currently use.
