this is a very good summary of systems programming.

Maybe a nitpick but, asking the audience of the Zigtoberfest how are they doing in they journey is really biased, it mostly already filtered those who are passionate enough and have the means (either because they live nearby, or because they can and are willing, to pay for the travel expenses). Which It’s fair if one understands that but not so general applicable.

That’s true but I feel like it takes the result for granted.

Managing to get this many people — who are willing and pay for the travel expenses — and that they all identify with the track is an achievement and evidence in itself. The worry is if half the most engaged people didn’t raise their hand.

While the sample is not generalizable, the motivated people in the room are also the most likely to help shape the community downstream.

Absolutely, and feel bummed not having the means (including vacation time) to go to more zig events. It’s amazing how many people feel attracted to the zig project and philosophy. The “result” is amazing!!!
