This episode was recorded in mid-July, but there’s a ton of interesting topics and thoughts. I really enjoyed it.
There’s so much overlap between Zig and Roc both in philosophy and in practice, especially now that the Roc compiler is being rewritten in Zig. I can’t help but wonder if they are solving the same thing.
But that’s programming languages for you, I guess.

depends on what you mean, the languages? I don’t think so, rok is higher level, though not as much as other functional languages.
The compilers? Definitely, they even came to the same solution for a couple of things. But they also have different constraints and goals, so a solution for one might not fit with the other.
