I’m looking forward to possibly having some Zig meetups in the capital region or Tampere. Some Rust meetups were held in various Helsinki software company headquarters before covid and I enjoyed them a lot.

Bangladeshi, speaking Bangla and English. (I’m sure very few people heard the name of this country).
Fun fact: We love our language so much that our country’s name is literally Bangla + Desh (“land of Bangla”). People even gave their lives to protect it, which is why International Mother Language Day is celebrated on 21 February.

I’n from Barcelona and my mother tongue is Catalan, as well as speaking English, Spanish and Italian.
I write posts here in english with just a grammar spelling assistance bcs english is just a mess haha

Unfortunately Tennessee, but I hope to return home to Detroit.
I was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, but I’m now settled in Toronto, Canada.
English is my only fluent language, though I was once fairly proficient in Spanish (it’s been a while so I’m muy rusty!).
My next language-learning goal is French (to keep up with my kids!)

Good luck with french, it has to be the most annoying language to learn ever, just to give you a heads up even French people (myself included) struggle to speak it correctly, let alone write it correctly.

Chinese-American living in Krakow. I mainly use Polish in my day-to-day. Having lived in Lwów for some months I can also understand written Ukrainian pretty well.

I still remember how a Russian classmate in my Polish class grabbed his head in disbelief upon discovering that the past-tense form is used in the future-tense construction (e.g. będę czystał–I’ll be reading).

I’m from India and my native languge is Tamil.
Since English is an official language in my country, most of us are primarily taught in English. So I’m fairly comfortable with this language for reading and writing. It’s a bit hard for me to speak in it irl cuz it will take a bit of time for me to construct a sentence, which may change with practice but don’t have the opportunity for it. When typing, I don’t use translator but I often look up the meaning of common phrases/terms to make sure that I’m using them correctly
