Is there anybody from Dublin? I’ve been wondering if somebody would like to participate in a meetup. I know an owner of a pub. I could try to negotiate to have the meetup in the pub. The person is ok with the idea, but expects to have some details before giving the final answer.
I would figure out the format of the meetup and I would organize it. I’ve been thinking about some little hackathon where we could come, work on our projects and present them.
However, as of now, I know that there is only one person who’s into Zig in Ireland according Zig map.
From Dublin, but living in Denmark the last couple of years. I’ll be back visiting home around the start of September, so on the off chance that aligns with a meet up I’d be interested in swinging by.
So far, I’m thinking about the pub Dillon’s. It has a little space. Electrical outlets are everywhere. A few screens can be used for the presentations.
The date format you’ve used reminded me that there is one more Dublin in the US. I should’ve clarified that the Dublin I’m talking about is in Ireland. I guess I have to clarify in the topic
LMAO I have literally no idea why I typed the date like that. Yeah I mean Dublin, Ireland. I guess I was thinking in YY/MM/DD and then chopped off the year because it was obvious. Or maybe I’m just another victim of American cultural imperialism via the internet, who knows.

This means that we can meet somewhere in the beginning of September. As there are only 3 of us (or 4 if @gonzo is in), I guess we could go without mics and big screens to present something, we should be fine just with our laptops, shouldn’t we? Let’s just meet, talk, share our Zig projects, and let’s see where it goes.
The option with the pub remains on the table, I’ll contact the pub’s owner to give the inputs about the size of the event and come back. I’ll bring either a green light (which is very likely) or an alternative place to meet.
The pub owner gives the green light to the idea and waits for the date. I’ve said that it’s not happening earlier than the beginning of September. Therefore, I’m waiting the dates from you whenever you can. I’ll set the final date considering yours and I’ll book the pub for that day.
