Fulltime Zig developer for cutting edge DOM library, OSS project

This is a remote position, but the hours are US-East

Company: DockYard, Inc

We are seeking a Zig engineer who would like to work on a cutting edge project to build a DOM related library that is going to be the basis for rendering native UI framework views.

This will be at least a 1 year full time position.

We’re looking for someone that has deep experience with building fast, highly peformant, spec compliant, composable architectures. We’re extending beyond HTML in our DOM implementation into a new markup specification. The DOM implementation will need to interface with other languages such as Swift, Kotlin, and .NET.

Please reach out to me: brian@dockyard.com We’re not interested in speaking with recruiters or agencies.

Hi Brian,

I’m a Brazilian ADS student focused on systems programming and language tooling.

I’ve been building personal projects in Zig involving parsers, runtimes and compiler infrastructure.

Your DOM project caught my attention, composable architectures and language interoperability are exactly the kind of problems I find interesting.

I’m probably not at the seniority level you’re hiring for, but if there’s any room for OSS collaboration, testing or documentation I’d genuinely like to contribute.
