I ask because we are looking to publish some work that uses zig build in the next few months, and there was some concern that we’re currently using prerelease builds.
There was some reason we switched off 0.13, so I suspect the work done to make improvements to zig build since then is required. Testing our build against 0.13 is something we’ll also do, but I was hoping an 0.14 might come along soon.
Edit: to give more details I want to finish up this branch that I’ve been working on, and then set a release date 1 month into the future to give time for QA and give some love to the PR queue.
The 0.14.0 release is coming shortly. We didn’t get the release notes done yet, and I’m calling it a day.
Tomorrow morning I’ll make the tag, kick off the CI, and then work to finish the release notes while it builds.
I know there were a lot of things that sadly didn’t make the cut. Let’s try to get them into 0.14.1 or 0.15.0. Meanwhile, there are a ton of major and minor enhancements that have already landed, and will debut tomorrow.
