Apparently one of their original prototypes was in Zig and they really enjoyed it, but couldn’t stick with it due to internal political reasons (not trusted enough (yet (?))), so they switched to C, then eventually landed on Rust due to niceties they missed from Zig.
Most people here probably won’t find their perspective to be particularly novel, but perhaps an interesting read nonetheless
