How come Hex Rays sponsors tooling for the Ghidra Ecosystem? I would’ve assumed they compete for the same market with IDA.

This is not tooling for Ghidra but for IDA Pro!
It’s a way to convert Ghidra processor descriptions written in Sleigh to IDA Pro processor modules written in C++.
The conversion is automatic but doesn’t make use of all the intricacies of C++ processor modules. Which is to say that you can better describe processors in C++ at the moment.
