i’ve working with two different library functions: one that produces an ArrayList(u8) as output, and one that consumes a []const u8 as input… what’s the zig idiom that takes me from point A to point B???

How to use toOwnedSlice() and alternatives Help

So recently I was looking into this function. I found it to be a way to say in the code that I’m done with the ArrayList by storing the items field in a slice while simultaneously freeing the ArrayList. This also cleans the code up pretty well and helps to organize the ArrayLists. So basically I have two questions following up on this. #1 What are some typical use cases for toOwnedSlice/fromOwnedSlice and #2 What would be a way to trivially accomplish this with Zig primitives?
