I remember watching Andrew talk about using milestones on the code forge to keep track of Zig development / roadmap (EDIT: it’s [this one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eL_LcxwwHg)). I have been doing it since then.

However, recently (around few weeks ago), Codeberg has started to reject filtering and searching on the repo. I thought it was a temporary error, but it has been weeks since I was last able to do this. At first, it was only rejecting me from sorting PRs by last updated. Now I cannot view the Closed issues at all. I cannot also view the 2nd page of the PR or issue list.

For example, regarding 0.17.1, I cannot [view those 15 closed issues that will go into 0.17.1](https://codeberg.org/ziglang/zig/milestone/153840?q=&type=all&sort=relevance&state=closed&labels=&milestone=153840&project=0&assignee=0&poster=0&archived=false).

Is it a me issue? Otherwise, what is everyone doing to follow Zig development?

I don’t know about the codeberg filters, but personally I just click on last commits every now and then and have a look to the list.

Gives a good feeling of who is working in what. If a topic pique my interest, I read the commit message or mindlessly skim the diffs.

I find it to be a surprisingly good ratio of effort vs knowing what’s going on.

My main interest is if 0.17.1 includes the fixes to [make those regressions related to modules in ZLS work again](https://github.com/zigtools/zls/pull/3270). I would love to see if there are open PRs on it, but unfortunately I cannot search for PRs related to build server protocol. I would be lucky if those PRs are linked somewhere, but even in that case I feel like I’m playing Wikipedia speedrun

I see.

Following your link, seems like both have been marked for 0.18 very recently.

Personally I don’t check PRs much because I find it low SNR : without going deep into it, the existence of a PR doesn’t tell much about its likeliness to be merge anytime soon.

About the zls breakage, it’s unfortunate indeed to have regression on the module discovery, I personally find it invaluable to have goto definition work on projects I’m not familiar with.
However, the future is so bright my friend. The current architecture coupled with incremental compilation will yield incredible results. I personally have no doubt about it and try to focus on keeping my impatience in check in the mean time 😁

Yeah, I just upgraded my project to zig 0.17 and found out that this doesn’t work anymore. Bummer! Upgrading to zig 0.17 was otherwise a pleasant experience. Keeping my 🤞 for zig 0.18 and ZLS to bring module discovery back.

You just need to be signed in to do search / filtering.
